About me
After 24 years as a GP I needed to express myself creatively. I began working as a painter but became a sculptor.

I gained my BA in Fine Art in June 2007. I subsequently discovered my gift for stone carving, which opened a creative door for me and which continues to inspire my work.

About my work
I work in carved stone. I draw my inspiration from the body and other natural forms.

Once started, the work takes on a life of its own influenced by the characteristics of the stone. I usually carve directly without first making a model or detailed drawings.

My influences include Eric Gill, Constantin Brancusi, Nikki de Saint Phalle and Jacob Epstein.
